Position Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer II will focus on designing low and medium voltage power systems, serving as the primary technical liaison for assigned equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive bill of materials and drawing packages for moderately complex equipment manufacturing.
- Independently perform design, troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks to ensure effective support for IEM equipment.
- Assist production during the manufacturing and testing phases by addressing any technical inquiries.
- Collaborate with mechanical designers to draft front and plan views of switchgear and switchboards.
- Select appropriate components and compile detailed bills of materials for our products.
- Develop sequence of operation documents outlining automatic system functionalities.
- Coordinate with testing and field service teams to confirm system operations align with design specifications and documented sequences.
- Engage with various IEM teams to facilitate factory equipment demonstrations, lending technical expertise and guidance to ensure successful execution of factory witness tests.
- Perform necessary design tasks to support IEM products and achieve customer objectives.
- Provide independent support to sales and project management teams by addressing design-related customer queries.
- Conduct brief field assignments where troubleshooting, design consultation, customer engagement, or engineering assistance is required (typically less than 5 days at a time and not exceeding 15% of total work time).
