Key Responsibilities of Mortgage Field Service Inspectors:
- Assess property occupancy status (occupied or vacant).
- Evaluate the condition of the property (Good, Fair, or Poor).
- Capture high-quality images of the property using a smartphone.
- Complete inspection forms electronically through a downloadable app.
- Answer multiple-choice questions regarding property condition.
Qualifications:
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Reliable transportation is essential (vehicles with good gas mileage preferred).
- Ownership of a smartphone (Android or iPhone) is required.
- Access to a printer/scanner is necessary.
- A desktop, laptop, or tablet is required to print inspection forms.
Compensation and Workload:
Income is determined by location and inspection volume. Many inspectors can complete multiple inspections within an hour. Typically, assignments in rural areas may offer higher pay per inspection. Increased efficiency in completing inspections typically leads to more assignments being available.
