Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) is seeking a dedicated District Service Manager for our Denver District. This pivotal role involves delivering exceptional service to our customers promptly and efficiently. The District Service Manager is accountable for achieving the district’s financial targets and absorption goals, serving as the primary point of contact for Field Service activities and technical support within the designated area, catering to both internal and external customers.
Act as the main customer liaison for Field Service activities and technical assistance within the district, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Oversee the commissioning and servicing of equipment across all B&W product lines, ensuring adherence to performance guarantees, warranties, and contractual obligations.
Supervise the operational deployment of equipment and ensure compliance with established standards.
Coordinate closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Construction teams to meet contractual deadlines effectively.
Address technical challenges and facilitate design enhancements or upgrades that optimize customer operations.
Manage district operations, focusing on manpower utilization, expense control, contract costs, revenue generation, and business growth.
Direct and assign activities to field engineers within the district, ensuring optimal personnel use.
Manage all aspects of FMC and Service contract costs diligently.
Perform administrative tasks, including customer billing, account receivable collection, SE timesheet and expense report approvals, and contract documentation maintenance.
Oversee contract management for field service proposals and contracts, including proposal development, pricing strategies, performance metrics, and profitability assessments.
Prepare and submit monthly reports and any additional reports required by management.
Supervise service engineers and support staff, focusing on training, career development, quality assurance, and performance evaluations.
Review service engineer reports to ensure technical accuracy and identify any necessary follow-up actions or modifications.
Continuously mentor service engineers to enhance job performance and prepare them for career advancement opportunities. Assist in recruiting and onboarding new engineers and office staff.
Develop and sustain a motivated workforce aligned with company policies and budgetary constraints.
Promote a culture centered around Customer Satisfaction through timely and effective service delivery.
