About Our Team
The Commerce team within the Application Software division is responsible for the seamless integration of software that connects customers, partners, and operations into a unified platform. Positioned at the heart of Zipline’s commercial and operational strategies, this team manages both B2C and B2B experiences, covering customer mobile ordering, partner and merchant tools, serviceability platforms, partner integrations, customer support systems, and the fulfillment processes that ensure successful deliveries.
The systems developed by this team are fundamental in establishing customer trust, enabling partner success, enhancing operational efficiency, and scaling new business models for Zipline. Our engineers think like product leaders, closely collaborating with customers and partners, and are responsible for creating intuitive ordering experiences, ensuring reliable fulfillment, and empowering partners on our platform.
Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished engineering leader to become the Head of Software Engineering for our Commerce Platform. In this pivotal role, you will craft the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for Zipline’s marketplace and commerce software, addressing both B2C and B2B domains. Your leadership will ensure that our developments not only make a significant impact on customers but also scale alongside our business growth.
You will prioritize initiatives, balance tradeoffs, and align stakeholders to effectively translate your vision into actionable results. You will oversee product direction and engineering execution for our Commerce platform, defining our development priorities and ensuring technical excellence in delivery. Your accountability will encompass the platform's outcomes, including customer adoption rates, partner success metrics, system reliability, and overall scalability.
