This pivotal leadership position is key to driving our modernization efforts and platform transformation. You will oversee essential capabilities such as User Identity & Access Management (UIAM), Developer Experience (DevX), and API extensibility that empower our diverse engineering teams. Your leadership will enable over 20 engineering squads and multiple product lines to swiftly and safely create exceptional experiences for a global, multi-tenant client base utilizing a governed, multi-cloud architecture.
By directing the engineering strategy and delivery for these shared services, you will play a vital role in minimizing developer friction and enhancing platform reliability across all product surfaces. We are in search of a collaborative leader who emphasizes inclusive engineering practices and architectural consistency to cultivate a thriving community of diverse talent. Achieving success in this role entails advocating for a scalable, high-velocity environment where foundational excellence fosters collective impact for our clients and their communities.
Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Architecture Office to establish platform-wide standards and take ownership of the API governance model, including lifecycle management and automated quality controls.
- Accelerate modernization initiatives by refactoring legacy systems and promoting vertical thin-slice delivery to facilitate rapid product innovation.
- Work in partnership with Product, Security, and Architecture teams to balance modernization objectives with operational risk reduction and high-quality delivery.
- Champion the adoption of service observability, performance monitoring, and operational excellence.
