EnerMech is actively searching for a dynamic Director of Project Management who will be instrumental in leading, standardizing, and enhancing project execution within our Energy Solutions and Integrated Industrial Services (IIS) divisions. This pivotal role is designed to foster predictable delivery, ensure customer satisfaction, achieve operational excellence, and enforce disciplined project governance. Blending strategic oversight with hands-on execution, the Director will manage a global portfolio of projects, implement consistent methodologies, and guarantee that all projects are executed safely, profitably, and in accordance with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the comprehensive delivery of complex projects, ensuring compliance with safety, scheduling, budgetary, technical, and contractual obligations.
- Manage the integrated project portfolio by prioritizing, sequencing, and optimizing resource utilization to enhance performance.
- Maintain financial discipline from project initiation to closure, including forecasting, risk management, and change control.
- Implement standardized processes, templates, and tools that are aligned across various project types and geographical regions.
- Foster strong relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring open communication and effective issue resolution.
- Monitor KPIs, drive corrective actions, and facilitate the flow of lessons learned into ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Define and deploy standardized project execution processes throughout the project lifecycle, aligned with enterprise PM frameworks.
- Establish tailored project classification and delivery models for service, engineering, construction, and multidisciplinary solutions.
- Promote the adoption of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools, reporting standards, and governance models to maintain consistency and operational rigor.
- Ensure strict adherence to contractual scopes, commercial terms, and internal financial guidelines, overseeing scope changes and variation orders.
- Oversee compliance with governance requirements concerning cost control, risk management, and commercial performance, ensuring alignment with client agreements and business objectives.
- Maintain the overall health of the project portfolio, balancing workload across regions and enhancing visibility of risk exposure.
- Implement portfolio-level risk management processes and escalation pathways to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to secure necessary subject matter experts (SMEs) and ensure alignment of resources with delivery priorities.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring clarity of scope, alignment on delivery expectations, and timely resolution of project challenges.
- Enhance customer satisfaction through clear communication, proactive planning, and exceptional delivery.
- Support commercial teams during bids, proposals, and project kickoffs to ensure a seamless transition into execution.
