About Platform Distribution & Partnerships: The Platform Distribution and Partnerships division at NBCUniversal plays a pivotal role in the distribution and monetization of a multi-billion-dollar portfolio that spans linear and streaming services. This includes partnerships with pay-TV providers, broadcast affiliates, consumer technology platforms, devices, and various consumer brands. As a major revenue driver, the division encompasses content distribution, affiliate relations, and strategic partnerships across renowned brands such as NBC, Peacock, Bravo, Telemundo, and multiple FAST channels.
The Director of Pricing & Strategy will be instrumental in enhancing the value of NBCUniversal's extensive network assets by aiding in the formulation of pricing strategies and conducting in-depth analyses to support Content Distribution agreements. This role involves collaborating closely with the Senior Vice President of the Platform Distribution & Partnerships group to establish the economic framework and analyses essential for revenue growth and contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of NBCUniversal’s long-term strategic vision while pinpointing growth opportunities within the company’s diverse portfolio.
- Stay informed of broadcast and cable industry trends to provide insights and strategic thinking necessary for constructing detailed economic and pricing models, as well as performing timely deal evaluations.
- Identify potential contract risks and opportunities, ensuring that deal economics align with NBCU's overarching strategy.
- Design comprehensive and adaptable pricing models to support distribution strategies for MVPD and Broadcast Affiliate partnerships.
- Assess the value of rights and the potential for monetization; present strategic and financial plans to key stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Contribute to various network initiatives, including strategic planning, valuations, long-range planning development, content acquisition analysis, and other special projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop innovative product offerings based on a profound understanding of industry products and trends.
