Overview: Join our dedicated team at Healthcare Nursing of Otoe County as the Director of Nursing, where you will lead our nursing department in providing exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and assess the performance of nursing management staff.
- Conduct regular rounds to ensure compliance with clinical standards and assess residents’ conditions through periodic evaluations.
- Coordinate clinical services to implement best practices in resident care.
- Address service quality issues promptly and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Investigate resident complaints and concerns thoroughly.
- Ensure proper clinical documentation and follow-up for compliance.
- Oversee all nursing activities within the department to maintain high standards of care.
- Provide necessary coaching and implement disciplinary actions in accordance with campus policies.
- Assess and enhance the skills and performance of nursing staff.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to develop competencies that meet the needs of our residents.
- Schedule training sessions that minimize disruptions to resident care, ensuring staff can participate.
- Maintain 24-hour accountability for nursing services, directing and coordinating all departmental activities.
- Keep comprehensive records of training programs, including instructional materials and speaker qualifications.
- Facilitate opportunities for staff to earn continuing education credits to maintain their licensure and certifications.
- Track attendance and training progress in compliance with facility policies.
