The Director of Nursing is responsible for the comprehensive planning, organization, development, and oversight of community clinical and medication programs. These responsibilities are in alignment with current federal, state, and local regulations, the Nurse Practice Act, and the clinical standards outlined by the American Nurses Association. The Director will collaborate closely with the Executive Director on clinical concerns and compliance issues, providing informed recommendations for resolution. This role serves as a vital clinical resource for community staff.
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, which includes conducting health assessments, creating and reviewing resident care plans with family members or power of attorney, communicating changes in resident conditions to physicians, and implementing tailored interventions to minimize falls based on individual resident needs. Medication administration and assistance with resident care will also be required as necessary.
- Ensure timely completion of assessments and accurate documentation in the electronic health record while maintaining clear communication with the Business Office Manager regarding any additional care provided for precise resident billing.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of state regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Availability for on-call duties across all shifts as needed.
