As the Director of Purchasing Management within the Group Purchasing Department, you will play a pivotal role in our Luxury & Lifestyle division.
You will oversee the comprehensive financial management of the Procurement L&L scope (4 brand houses, 4 regions, 8 sub-regions, approximately €800 million in spending).
Operating within a matrix organization (by brand globally and by region), you will act as a true financial business partner, ensuring data reliability, performance visibility, process harmonization, and efficient coordination among Finance, PME control, central control, and accounting teams.
Your Responsibilities:
Business Partnering & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the primary financial partner in a complex matrix organization (brands & regions).
- Maintain ongoing communication with the FP&A L&L teams regarding the scope: entities, financial flows, legal documentation, key stakeholders.
- Regularly coordinate with PME Purchasing controllers to align and convey financial information.
- Collaborate closely with central control on processes, schedules, priorities, performance reviews, and risk management.
- Clearly and structured communicate financial performance of Purchasing activities to internal and external stakeholders.
Budget & Forecast Processes
- Lead the financial agenda (budget, forecast, latest estimate) in sync with global Purchasing management.
- Align with PME controllers and central control ahead of budget reviews.
- Guide data input instructions into financial systems (amounts, phasing, details by brand and country).
- Ensure proper integration of budgetary data and communicate with FP&A in case of adjustments.
Actuals Monitoring & Accounting Interface
- Provide revenue accounting instructions for the L&L scope (partnerships, specific initiatives, sourcing activities).
- Deliver cost accounting instructions (flows, entities, phasing, amounts).
- Analyze and control P&L variances between Actuals / Budget / Latest Estimate (revenues, costs, staffing).
- Ensure collaboration with accounting teams for necessary P&L adjustments.
- Contribute to the harmonization, simplification, and efficiency of financial processes within Purchasing L&L.
