Position Overview
The Director of IT Applications Development and Business Intelligence will deliver strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s enterprise application portfolio, focusing on systems that support finance, lending, and program delivery. Reporting directly to the CIO, this position is responsible for ensuring that business applications not only address current operational requirements but are also adaptable to emerging capabilities, particularly those driven by artificial intelligence, in collaboration with the Director of IT Program Management and the Director of IT Infrastructure and Security.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
• Develop and implement a multi-year strategy for enterprise business applications, anticipating the transformative impact of AI on software development, configuration, analytics, and operational support.
• Facilitate the transition from static, heavily customized systems to adaptable, composable platforms enriched by AI-driven insights, automation, and decision support, while maintaining robust governance, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and accountability.
• Provide guidance in translating business, financial, and lending needs into scalable, future-ready application strategies.
• Collaborate with the Director of IT Program Management to ensure alignment between application strategy and portfolio planning.
Application Portfolio Management
• Manage the daily operations and lifecycle of enterprise business applications, including financial, lending, CRM, ERP, and program management systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Box, IvyTek Finance, and other SaaS partners).
• Establish application standards, architectural principles, and integration patterns that promote flexibility.
• Develop standardized intake, prioritization, and lifecycle governance frameworks across enterprise applications and reporting to enhance transparency, accountability, and portfolio alignment.
• Assess vendor roadmaps and emerging technologies to drive strategic decision-making.
