Director of Ingredient Quality & Continuous Improvement (North America)
Location: New York City, Toronto, Chicago, Phoenix (with travel required)
We are seeking a dynamic leader to connect Quality data with operational execution in our North American network. As the Director of Ingredient Quality & Continuous Improvement, you will take charge as the chief architect of our quality standards across the region. Your responsibilities will include identifying systemic issues and spearheading the development and implementation of effective solutions that span our entire supply chain, from suppliers to our operations, ensuring customer satisfaction at every touchpoint. Your success will be measured by the improvement of our quality metrics, requiring your commitment from initial data analysis through to staff training and process integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Implementation Lifecycle: Oversee the comprehensive development and execution of our quality programs, ensuring robust solutions rather than temporary fixes. You will work closely with stakeholders to diagnose root causes and re-engineer processes, remaining on-site until improvements are realized.
- Design the NA Meal Kit Quality Program: Formulate a cohesive quality strategy for our North American operations, establishing standards, building systems and processes, and implementing automated tracking to guarantee consistent quality across all sites.
- Facilitate Operational Accountability: Act as the hands-on leader who translates quality KPIs into actionable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our Distribution Centers, ensuring the adoption and sustainability of new quality initiatives, reflected in our performance data.
- Enhance Quality Reporting: Own and evolve the North American quality reporting framework, advancing our real-time data capabilities to furnish predictive insights instead of retrospective reports.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary quality liaison among Product, Procurement, Operations, and Logistics, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any issues that arise.
- Continuous Improvement Approach: Employ Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and minimize ingredient damage, directly contributing to our profitability.
- Develop and Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of quality professionals and continuous improvement specialists across North America.
