Full-time Position Reporting to the Chief Operating and Administrative Officer
The Director of Finance and Procurement is instrumental in steering the financial and procurement operations of HEC Paris in Qatar. This pivotal role encompasses comprehensive responsibility for financial sustainability, governance, and the entire procurement process. The position requires a blend of exceptional financial leadership and strategic oversight of procurement, ensuring compliance, efficiency, value generation, and ongoing enhancement of operations.
Financial Leadership
- Direct and manage all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury management, and audit facilitation.
- Guarantee adherence to established accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and internal policies.
- Formulate and execute financial strategies that resonate with the institution's goals and long-term viability.
- Deliver strategic financial insights, scenario modeling, and decision-making support to senior leadership.
- Supervise the production and quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Procurement and Contract Oversight
- Establish and manage the overarching procurement strategy, ensuring transparency, value for money, and effective risk management.
- Oversee sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and compliance across the organization.
- Ensure procurement policies and internal controls are effectively implemented and maintained.
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle for significant vendor and client agreements, guaranteeing compliance with institutional, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Uphold adherence to local and international regulations and ethical procurement practices.
Integration and Continuous Improvement
- Foster synergies between finance and procurement to enhance planning, cost management, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to synchronize procurement initiatives with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and rigorous risk management.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor finance and procurement teams, fostering performance and accountability through clear objectives and KPIs, along with regular assessments and corrective actions as necessary.
- Enhance team capabilities through coaching, development plans, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
