Join our dynamic and rapidly expanding organization as a Director of Field Engineering in the Benelux region. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead a team of first-line managers and pre-sales Solutions Architects, specifically targeting complex accounts. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving our growth across various sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, energy, public sector, healthcare, life sciences, retail, consumer goods, and communications, media, and entertainment.
Your expertise in collaborating with sales organizations will be vital in enhancing consumption, while you mentor new sales and pre-sales team members to achieve excellence. You will guide your team and actively engage in opportunities to bolster their effectiveness. Proficiency in articulating complex, business value-focused solutions; supporting intricate sales cycles; and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in large enterprises is essential. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Field Engineering for Benelux & Nordics.
The impact you will have
- Recruit and oversee first-line managers and an expanding team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects.
- Foster a collaborative culture within a fast-growing team, exemplifying and promoting Databricks' customer-centric, teamwork-oriented, and diverse culture.
- Enhance the return on investment from Solutions Architect participation in sales cycles.
- Establish trust-based, long-term relationships with clients, while gaining insights into category-specific landscapes and trends.
- Encourage a solution and value-driven approach within the field engineering organization.
- Demonstrate an understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts within the assigned region.
- Help elevate Databricks' brand presence in Benelux in collaboration with the Marketing and Sales teams.
