Join our dynamic Utilities Infrastructure Business as the Head of Environment and Sustainability, where you will spearhead the development, implementation, and management of our sustainability strategy and initiatives. Your expertise will guide our environmental policies, resource management, and regulatory compliance efforts.
In this pivotal role, you will conduct gap analyses, manage sustainability metrics and reporting, cultivate a culture of sustainability, and work collaboratively with various stakeholders to minimize our environmental impact while achieving our water business and Group objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Formulate and execute a robust sustainability strategy that aligns with our organizational values and strategic goals.
- Policy Implementation: Design and enforce environmental policies and practices that foster sustainable and eco-friendly workplace practices.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, perform audits, and compile comprehensive sustainability performance reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to advance sustainability initiatives and strengthen relationships.
- Data & Metrics: Monitor, analyze, and report on key sustainability metrics such as energy consumption, waste generation, and carbon footprints.
- Carbon Reporting: Lead the implementation of a carbon accounting system to provide scope 1, 2, and 3 data, enabling data-driven decisions and the establishment of science-based targets.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate environmental risks while assessing the impact of business activities on the environment.
- Awareness & Training: Develop and lead environmental awareness programs that promote a culture of sustainability among employees.
- Innovation: Research and implement cutting-edge technologies, practices, and strategies to enhance our sustainability performance.
