Established in 2017, the founders of Filecoin envisioned the Foundation as the enduring governance body for the Filecoin Ecosystem. Their goal was to cultivate an open ecosystem for decentralized storage and provide developers with a sustainable platform to build, enhance, and monetize their services. Modeled after other successful open-source project foundations such as the Apache Software Foundation, the Mozilla Foundation, and the Linux Foundation, the Filecoin Foundation operates autonomously from Protocol Labs, the creators of the Filecoin network. As a key member of our early-stage team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our growth trajectory as we scale. The Role
We are seeking our inaugural senior hire in commercial growth to elevate our go-to-market strategies.
You will take full ownership of demand generation, pipeline management, and revenue execution. This is not merely a management role; you will be hands-on, building systems from the ground up, operating them initially, and scaling them as revenue warrants. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a scrappy environment and has a proven track record of building from scratch, with a focus on execution over abstraction. You will collaborate directly with executives in the Filecoin ecosystem and our GTM Enterprise Growth Lead to define and implement a robust revenue strategy.
What You’ll Do
1. Generate Commercial Pipeline alongside our Enterprise Growth Lead (Hands-On)
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Growth Lead to identify Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and refine messaging.
- Establish inbound channels from the ground up (including technical content, SEO strategies, ecosystem visibility, and marketplace presence).
- Support outbound efforts with effective messaging, campaigns, and tools.
- Enhance conversion rates from Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) to opportunities.
- Monitor all activities, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements continuously.
2. Close & Support Revenue with the GTM team
- Engage in enterprise-level discussions early in the sales cycle.
- Facilitate the progression of technical deals in collaboration with founders.
