THE POSITION
Join FanDuel as our new Director of Compensation, where you will spearhead our compensation strategy and operations.
This vital role encompasses the design, governance, and execution of programs that attract, reward, and retain exceptional talent, all while aligning with our overarching business strategy and total rewards philosophy. You will utilize your extensive technical expertise and a keen interest in data-driven decision-making to significantly influence our most valuable asset—our people. Leading a dynamic team, you will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to drive continuous enhancements in our processes and systems, including Workday.
As part of your responsibilities, you may also be called upon to perform additional duties as assigned by the company, ensuring operational flexibility to meet our evolving business needs.

- Continuously advance and refine our compensation strategy through the evaluation, development, and implementation of policies and programs that support our organization's business goals.
- Enhance and scale our enterprise governance, auditing, controls, and documentation to ensure consistency, internal equity, and compliance across the organization.
- Oversee core compensation planning processes, including annual merit cycles, bonus programs, job leveling, and promotions.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR on budgeting and forecasting for headcount and compensation, and work with HR Operations on execution and controls.
- Provide guidance to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and leaders on compensation decisions related to hiring, promotions, transfers, and retention, addressing issues like internal compression and market competitiveness.
- Conduct market pricing, salary structure design, and benchmarking studies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Lead regular pay-equity and risk analyses; recommend remediation and track outcomes.
- Support HR systems transformation and the implementation of Workday compensation modules; drive automation, data quality, and user experience improvements.
- Enhance tools, dashboards, and analytics to empower manager self-service and facilitate better decision-making.
- Stay informed about federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency laws, wage & hour, EEO) to ensure compliant practices, disclosures, and audits.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members; foster a culture of operational excellence and service.
