Join H&M as a Department Manager in Las Juntas, where you'll play a pivotal role in achieving store sales and profitability goals. Your mission will be to create and implement action plans that ensure an exceptional customer experience within your department and throughout the store.
As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating a high-performing team and fostering their growth. You'll focus on talent development and leadership with a structured performance framework based on results, values, and effective leadership. You will operate in compliance with legal requirements, H&M policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of our customers and colleagues.
This position reports directly to the Store Manager and oversees the Commercial Advisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Profitability:
Analyze and monitor departmental sales and profitability KPIs alongside the Visual Merchandiser, taking proactive measures to maximize sales.
Collaborate with your team to plan and prioritize actions that have a direct impact on sales while ensuring the implementation of the Commercial Manual.
Actively engage in store routines and tasks, including receiving shipments, processing garments, markdowns, departmental transfers, and price changes.
Proactively prevent losses and ensure departmental adherence to safety guidelines.
Ensure the department delivers outstanding customer service on the sales floor, in fitting rooms, and at the checkout.
Confirm that all merchandise is received and displayed correctly according to our commercial guidelines.
Plan and organize departmental staff to meet business needs.
People and Teams:
Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate Sales Associates in collaboration with the Store Manager.
Assess and manage the performance of departmental team members; provide regular feedback, conduct performance discussions, and implement development plans to enhance team performance.
Communicate effectively with the store team regarding business outcomes, company culture, and weekly objectives.
Maintain overall store responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager.
Strengthen our company culture by encouraging feedback and training.
