Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deckhand to enhance our team at Darwin Harbour Cruises. The ideal candidate will possess a valid GPH or Coxswain Grade 1 qualification. This is a casual position set to commence in February 2026.
Our Deckhands play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while also being involved in vessel maintenance and operational tasks. This position requires flexibility, as shifts will be scheduled on a rotating basis from Monday to Sunday, primarily in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends. We are currently running cruises four days a week and will expand operations to seven days a week by June.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Master and crew to ensure the vessel is cruise-ready, managing berthing, controlling mooring lines, and conducting deck inspections while addressing engineering and maintenance needs.
- Providing outstanding customer service by assisting guests with mobility and ensuring their safety throughout their experience.
