The city of Philadelphia is seeking a talented Data Warehouse Developer (DWD) to join our enterprise data warehouse (EDW) team under the Office of Innovation & Technology. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and management professionals to support the data integration and delivery needs of the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services (DBHIDS). You will play a crucial role in understanding data definitions, collection methods, publication processes, and the technologies that enhance data utility for consumers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing comprehensive data warehousing solutions aligned with the department’s Data Governance Framework Strategic Plan.
- Designing, implementing, and monitoring data integration programs to collect data from various sources and load it into our Kalido EDW.
- Publishing data from the EDW into various formats for reporting and analytics needs.
- Collaborating closely with the business intelligence unit to enhance reporting capabilities using the Qliksense platform.
- Working with data quality analysts to identify and resolve data integrity issues.
- Assisting in data analysis related to data quality concerns.
- Ensuring optimal EDW performance in collaboration with database administrators.
- Documenting data lineage and transformation processes.
- Maintaining metadata management capabilities.
- Recommending process improvements for better data management.
- Analyzing reporting requirements to determine data availability.
