Join our innovative Data Governance and Management team at Assent as a meticulous and dedicated Data Governance and Management Developer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, assessing, monitoring, and enhancing the quality of essential data across multiple systems and domains. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will define and implement data quality standards, identify data issues, and spearhead resolution efforts to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability throughout the organization.
This role is crucial for supporting organization-wide data initiatives, guaranteeing that business decisions are informed by reliable, accurate, and trustworthy data as we expand our data governance and management capabilities within the Product organization at Assent. The Data Governance and Management Developer will work closely with engineering and product teams to tackle key challenges within our data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft and implement data quality rules, validation checks, and metrics for critical business areas.
- Build Data Quality (DQ) monitoring pipelines and alerts to proactively identify data issues.
- Conduct regular data profiling and quality assessments to detect gaps, inconsistencies, duplicates, and other anomalies.
- Design and maintain data quality dashboards and reports to provide insight into trends and issues.
- Utilize generative AI to automate workflows, enhance data quality, and promote responsible prompt usage.
- Collaborate with data stewards and technical teams to triage and resolve data quality concerns.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for issue management and stewardship workflows.
- Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or significant data quality challenges.
- Define and monitor key data quality KPIs, supporting continuous improvement through insights and retrospective analysis.
- Evaluate and recommend scalable data quality, testing, or observability tools for the enterprise.
- Advise on improvements to data processes, governance practices, and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to internal data governance policies, privacy standards, and audit requirements.
- Stay aligned with corporate security policies and follow Assent's established processes and procedures.
