Job Responsibilities
- Efficiently operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare and assemble food products to meet customer orders.
- Receive and process telephone orders promptly and accurately.
- Conduct inventory checks and complete necessary paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas on a daily basis.
Training
Orientation and training will be provided on the job to ensure you are equipped to succeed.
Communication Skills
Must possess the ability to understand and deliver clear written instructions. Strong verbal communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers and team members, both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions/Skills
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations accurately and quickly, possibly using a calculator.
- Must be able to provide accurate monetary change to customers.
- Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders efficiently.
- Good motor coordination skills for precise movements while entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying weather conditions while performing tasks outdoors, such as trash removal. In-store temperatures can range from 36°F in the cooler to over 90°F in certain work areas. Must be prepared for sudden temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped workspaces, including the walk-in cooler. Caution is required around hot surfaces and sharp tools.
Sensory Requirements
Must be able to communicate effectively via phone, possess near and mid-range vision for tasks, and differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperament
The ability to manage activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently or collaboratively, handle stress, meet strict quality standards, interact with customers, and make sound judgments is essential.
