ROLE
The role of a Quantitative Research Intern is pivotal, requiring expertise across multiple domains. Exceptional research is rooted in innovative ideas, intuition, strong data analysis capabilities, and strategic research planning. Our research directly influences our investment strategies. This position is highly selective, and we have a successful history of mentoring exceptionally talented researchers from academic backgrounds to thrive in the investment sector. Previous experience in financial services is not a prerequisite.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support full-time researchers with various research initiatives
- Assist in the collection and preliminary analysis of data
- Stay informed on, analyze, and enhance the latest academic research findings
IDEAL CANDIDATES
- Ph.D. candidates in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or other quantitative fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with SQL for data management.
- Demonstrated research experience relevant to their area of expertise.
- Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to learn and apply new methodologies to real-world challenges.
- A proactive attitude towards ownership of projects.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality results promptly.
- Experience in the financial services industry is not required.
