POSITION OVERVIEW
The Critical Engineering Technician will join our Operations team, reporting directly to the Critical Facilities Manager. This role involves maintaining critical facility equipment and plays a vital part in ensuring the day-to-day operations of our hyperscale, multi-building data center campus. As a hands-on position, the technician is responsible for the uptime, reliability, and performance of critical facility systems. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and responding quickly to alarms or incidents related to power, cooling, and networking equipment. The technician operates in various areas that require precision and adherence to operational protocols, collaborating with internal teams such as operations, engineering, and security, as well as external vendors and contractors. We seek detail-oriented, adaptable individuals capable of thriving in a fast-paced, 24/7 mission-critical environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct all standard and non-standard activities following Stream Data Centers’ operating procedures or maintenance work instructions.
- Perform rounds inspecting mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety systems (MEP/FLS) throughout the facility and equipment yards.
- Monitor Building Management Systems for performance and efficiency.
