Key Responsibilities:
The Design Director at Walker Sands serves as the leading design strategist within our creative department. This dual role encompasses both hands-on design execution and team leadership, aiming to elevate the agency’s visual standards across brand systems, integrated campaigns, and multi-channel initiatives.
In this pivotal role, you will define the overarching design vision for our clients and prospective business opportunities, ensuring that our creative output is strategically grounded, visually distinctive, and scalable within complex B2B environments. You will apply a systems-oriented mindset and an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, crafting designs that not only stand out but also create significant impact across various channels.
Your mentorship will guide the design team in producing bold, strategic solutions for leading technology firms and other ambitious B2B brands. From identity creation to comprehensive campaign and content ecosystems, you’ll empower brands to communicate with clarity, consistency, and creative vigor at every stage of the buyer’s journey.
Creative & Craft Leadership:
- Establish and maintain Walker Sands’ design standards, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and consistency across all client projects.
- Define the visual direction for client brand identity systems, rebranding initiatives, and large-scale integrated campaigns.
- Enhance design quality across typography, composition, digital experiences, motion graphics, and visual systems.
- Provide senior-level oversight, offering thoughtful feedback and final approval on key design work.
- Transform strategic insights and positioning into unique, ownable visual frameworks that drive meaningful impact.
Brand & Systems Ownership:
- Lead the creation of scalable brand systems, visual frameworks, and modular toolkits that facilitate integrated execution.
- Ensure design solutions translate seamlessly across all channels and disciplines, including public relations, social media, web, demand generation, content, and experiential marketing.
- Create cohesive visual ecosystems that balance consistency, creativity, and clarity.
