We are in search of a meticulous Risk and Control Specialist to enhance our Corporate Banking team, emphasizing compliance, risk management, and operational integrity. This crucial role involves the management of client due diligence (KYC/ODD), internal controls, audits, and collaboration with risk management teams to mitigate credit and operational risks associated with corporate banking functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Due Diligence & Compliance
- Conduct in-depth Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews for corporate clientele, ensuring adherence to AML, CDD, and regulatory frameworks.
- Execute Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) for existing clients, including routine assessments to update client risk profiles based on transactional behavior, ownership shifts, or business activities.
- Proactively monitor significant changes (e.g., mergers, sanctions, adverse media) and escalate risks as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date client records and documentation to uphold compliance with CDD mandates.
- Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports and manage documentation.
2. Internal Control
- Design and implement post-loan management internal control frameworks to protect corporate banking operations.
- Conduct regular evaluations to determine the effectiveness of controls and compliance with policies.
- Identify process inefficiencies, recommend corrective measures, and monitor remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with the Compliance/Risk department to align controls with dynamic regulatory requirements.
- Assist in mitigating risks associated with transaction processing, fraud prevention, and system resilience.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Engage with Sub-branches, Relationship Managers, Compliance, Risk, and IT departments to optimize workflows and reinforce internal controls.
