The Role in Brief
As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to SAMA regulatory requirements across the organization by supporting compliance monitoring, policy implementation, regulatory reporting, and fostering internal awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor adherence to SAMA rules, circulars, AML/CTF Rulebook, Payment Service Provider regulations, and Consumer Protection Principles.
- Assist in conducting regulatory gap assessments and executing the annual compliance plan.
- Policy & Procedure Management: Draft, update, and maintain compliance-related policies and processes ensuring alignment with Consumer Protection Principles and Acquirer regulatory frameworks.
- Monitoring & Testing: Conduct compliance monitoring tests across various areas including onboarding, customer disputes, settlements, merchant operations, chargebacks, and complaints handling. Identify control weaknesses and report findings to the Compliance Manager.
- Regulatory Reporting: Help prepare regulatory submissions such as SAMA dashboards, compliance returns, and queries. Maintain records of regulatory correspondence and ensure inspection readiness documentation is up to date. Provide compliance training sessions to various departments including KYC, merchant onboarding, customer care, and sales.
- Collaborate with Legal, AML, Anti-Fraud, Ops, Product, and Risk teams on compliance matters and remediation plans.
Qualifications We Seek
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in Compliance, ideally within the fintech or payments sector.
- Familiarity with SAMA regulations, Consumer Protection Principles, and the acquirer ecosystem.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
