The Compliance Unit is pivotal in ensuring that Lendo complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. In this essential role, you will provide oversight, offer advisory support, and conduct training across the organization, fostering a robust culture of compliance while safeguarding the business from regulatory, operational, and reputational risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective communication with supervisory and regulatory bodies; monitor and address their observations; collaborate with internal departments to rectify deficiencies on a periodic basis.
- Implement a risk-based compliance program, incorporating outcomes, inspection observations, and recommendations into regular compliance reports.
- Identify, document, and evaluate ad-hoc compliance risks across various business activities.
- Maintain comprehensive compliance and risk registers, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Develop quantitative and qualitative metrics for non-compliance risks; leverage technology and data aggregation to create risk indicators and determine if further actions are required.
- Keep an updated tracker of all regulatory deadlines, ensuring full responsibility and timely submissions.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of compliance programs and policies.
- Analyze new or revised policies, procedures, and processes; recommend solutions to mitigate potential non-compliance risks.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions for employees on compliance standards and obligations.
- Compile, communicate, and clarify relevant laws, regulations, and circulars to all departments; ensure timely integration into each function’s policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with company staff, providing guidance on everyday compliance-related matters.
- Maintain a continuously updated database of applicable instructions and circulars, categorized by department, ensuring company-wide accessibility.
- Recommend approvals for engaging external service providers and verify their compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
