Job Summary
We are on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic Medical Director to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the comprehensive care delivery to our patients, ensuring the highest quality of service and promoting best practices within our healthcare team. Your leadership, guidance, and direction will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment while upholding the utmost standards of patient care. Responsibilities
- Oversee, mentor, and provide clinical guidance to medical staff, ensuring high standards of care.
- Encourage a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and ongoing professional development.
- Lead the interviewing and credentialing process for new medical staff.
- Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee quarterly.
- Assist in preparing for Department of Health (DOH) surveys, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Lead the introduction of new clinical programs and initiatives.
- Stay updated on advancements in geriatric and long-term care to enhance our clinical offerings.
- Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring exceptional clinical treatment and support.
Requirements
- Preferred Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification.
- Significant experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing settings.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to quality patient care.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
