About the job
Join our dedicated team at Centria Autism as a Behavior Technician, where you can truly make a difference in the lives of children with autism. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with children on a one-on-one basis, implementing tailored behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Your mission will involve using evidence-based strategies to foster communication, social skills, and daily living skills while minimizing any challenging behaviors. This position is ideal for compassionate individuals who are passionate about empowering children to reach their fullest potential.
We provide extensive training, so even if you're new to this field, you will gain the knowledge and skills you need to excel. However, it is essential that you possess patience, empathy, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. As you work with children, you may encounter unpredictable situations, requiring a resilient spirit and physical stamina. The role involves activities such as standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and sometimes carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
At the end of each day, you will feel fulfilled knowing you have positively impacted a child's life and their family's journey. If you are ready to embark on this fulfilling career path, apply today to become a Behavior Technician with us!
