Role Overview
As a Community Intern, you will play a vital role in executing community programs across various cities, with a keen focus on cultivating and managing online communities, particularly through WhatsApp. Your responsibilities will include coordinating community initiatives, overseeing communication channels, and ensuring the efficient operation of community engagement on a daily basis.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate member acquisition, disseminate pertinent content, manage community interactions, and monitor performance metrics to enhance overall community effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
A. Community Development
- Assist in the execution of the overall Community Plan and Strategy
- Participate in the pilot project across 11 cities (current)
- Prepare for a nationwide rollout (future state)
- Support in executing various community activities, both offline and online
B. Operational Support
Manage the end-to-end process for the WhatsApp Community group
- Establish WhatsApp Channels by creating community groups
- Track member acquisition and digital engagement through unique links for each community
- Coordinate with the Front Office team to introduce programs and facilitate member acquisition
- Regularly share content
- Create a content plan
- Collaborate with the creative team for content requests
- Disseminate content in WhatsApp Communities and educate the Front Office team on content topics
- Establish a feedback loop
- Draft captions for WhatsApp broadcasts
- Respond to WhatsApp messages in subgroup chats
- Manage FAQs and troubleshooting by addressing complaints and collaborating with relevant departments.
- Reporting
- Track content performance
- Monitor program effectiveness
- Compile general reporting for WhatsApp groups (active members, etc.)
Qualifications
- Recent graduate in any field (preferably in Communication, Marketing, or a related discipline).
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site to support community activities across different locations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable managing online communities, particularly via WhatsApp.
- Detail-oriented with strong administrative and coordination capabilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage various activities simultaneously.
