About the job
As a Commercial Life Sciences - NGS Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in both strategic and operational aspects:
Business Development
Identify and qualify potential customers across France (academic laboratories, research centers, biotechs, CROs) and Europe (e.g., Germany, Switzerland, Benelux).
Develop and manage a comprehensive territorial business plan with ambitious sales targets.
Formulate market penetration strategies tailored to meet clients' needs.
Account Management / Key Accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers (researchers, platform directors, R&D managers) and design customized NGS projects.
Identify use cases (fundamental research, biopharma, diagnostics, services) to offer suitable solutions (platforms, kits, services).
Demonstrations & Proof of Concept
Organize and conduct demonstrations of sequencing platforms (client sites, trade shows, webinars).
Support evaluations and POCs (proof-of-concept): collaborate closely with technical teams (applications, R&D) to define protocols, advise on workflows, and guide technical choices.
Commercial Negotiation
Prepare and present commercial proposals (instruments, reagents, services), build financial business cases (ROI, cost per run, etc.).
Conduct contract negotiations (capital purchases, services, maintenance).
Market Marketing & Monitoring
Provide customer feedback (needs, objections, ideas) to product, marketing, and R&D teams to inform development.
Monitor competition, NGS market trends (new workflows, emerging technologies), and adapt value propositions accordingly.
Forecasting & Reporting
Manage a robust CRM pipeline, track opportunities, forecast sales, and produce regular reports.
Collaborate closely with the sales leadership and other teams (applications, marketing, support) to track KPIs.
Field Travel
Spend at least 50% of your time traveling (laboratories, trade shows, client meetings) within France and Europe.
Represent the company at scientific events (conferences, workshops, symposiums).
