Legal at Brex
The Legal team plays a crucial role in supporting our company's responsible growth while advocating for Brex and the countless growing businesses we serve. We offer strategic advice and guidance across all Brex teams, ensuring we protect the company, manage risks, and represent Brex in external negotiations with partners and regulators. Navigating the complexities of the financial system in a highly regulated environment requires creativity and resourcefulness, and we welcome this challenge.
Your Role
As a Commercial Counsel at Brex, you will be an integral part of the Legal team, involved in negotiating and supporting revenue-generating agreements that empower Brex's sales, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies. You will also negotiate and provide counsel on vendor and procurement agreements, facilitating efficient and secure operations across the organization. Managing a high volume of commercial transactions, you will drive deal velocity while carefully navigating risk within a dynamic fintech landscape. You will offer clear and practical legal guidance on issues arising from commercial transactions and work closely with various teams, including sales, deal desk, partnerships, privacy, procurement, security, product, and engineering. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing development of Brex's commercial legal resources, such as playbooks, templates, policies, and workflows, enhancing consistency and supporting scalable growth. Throughout your work, you will balance risk management with business objectives and be a reliable partner to the business.
Work Environment
This position is based in our vibrant San Francisco office. We operate in a hybrid environment that combines remote and in-office work.
