Job Summary - The Project Coordinator will assist in the planning, organizing, and execution of construction projects under the guidance of a project manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to project management to ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist project managers in creating, documenting, and issuing change orders.
- Help with the creation and documentation of work orders and purchase orders.
- Follow up on outstanding subcontracts, change orders, and work orders.
- Collaborate with the pre-construction team to prepare plan tables for client proposals.
- Set up projects in project management software and upload necessary plans and subcontractor details.
- Coordinate with utility companies and local municipalities for various job sites.
- Initiate and oversee the permitting process for new and ongoing projects, including applying for building permits and managing responses to permit comments.
- Apply for Temporary Certificates of Occupancy/Certificates of Occupancy for respective projects.
- Manage and track subcontracts, purchase orders, and work orders.
- Assist in preparing project closeout documents, including warranties, waivers, and as-builts.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the project management team.
- Organize project-related paperwork to ensure all materials are current and properly filed.
- Support the accounting team in following up on signed lien waivers to facilitate efficient payment processes.
- Track financial inputs between the accounting team and project manager.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
