Position Overview:
As a CNC Machining Team Member at Fritz Winter North America, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of CNC machines, ensuring the production of high-quality parts while adhering to strict production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the conformity of finished products to specifications using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
- Set up, operate, and perform changeovers on computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines.
- Identify and rectify any material defects or operational deficiencies.
- Maintain cleanliness of machine fixtures and execute preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conduct tool changes and make minor adjustments to machines as needed.
- Load raw materials and perform quality checks on finished components.
- Execute setups and operate multiple CNC machines concurrently.
- Possess a foundational understanding of blueprint reading.
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations at all times within the department.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in operating CNC machinery.
Preferred Skills:
- Willingness to be trained in the operation of forklifts, cranes, and electric pallet jacks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computers and familiar with software applications such as MS Office.
- Good understanding of the metric system and basic mathematical skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs continually and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Frequent bending, lifting, stooping, and climbing is required.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
