The Role
We are on the lookout for passionate Children's Support Workers who can offer unwavering, compassionate care and practical assistance to children and young people. This role demands flexibility, professionalism, and a deep commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of those in our care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed care to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people.
- Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships.
- Support daily routines and foster independence and life skills development.
- Assist with educational needs, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Prepare nutritious meals and encourage healthy living habits.
- Advocate for the emotional and physical needs of young people.
- Transport young people to appointments and activities (own vehicle required).
Requirements
- Experience in working with children or young people (either paid or voluntary).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and emotional resilience.
- Availability to work shifts, including weekends, sleep-ins, and waking nights.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care) is desirable but not mandatory. Comprehensive training will be provided.
