Join Us as a Child Autism Support Specialist!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of autistic children? Do you want to be part of a dedicated team that creates empowering environments? Start your career with us at North Shore Pediatric Therapy, where we prioritize individualized, assent-based, and neuroaffirming care.
As a Child Autism Support Specialist, you will work closely with children aged 2–12, helping them develop essential skills in communication, independence, and confidence. This role is both dynamic and fulfilling, as you engage in hands-on activities that support each child's growth in various settings.
Your Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating play-based activities to enhance social and language skills.
- Guiding children through daily tasks, such as asking for assistance or transitioning smoothly between activities.
- Responding to challenging situations with a calm demeanor to manage meltdowns or behavioral issues.
- Documenting progress and sharing insights with the team to inform therapy plans.
- Collaborating with colleagues to celebrate achievements and adjust strategies as needed.
- Embracing flexibility, as every child and day presents unique opportunities.
This is not a desk job; it's a chance to roll up your sleeves and directly impact children's lives. If you love working with kids, this role offers one of the most rewarding experiences.
