At Gracent Pediatric Therapy, we are committed to more than just providing therapy—we cultivate environments where autistic children are honored, supported, and empowered. Rejecting one-size-fits-all care and outdated methods, our approach is assent-based, neuroaffirming, and team-oriented, deeply valuing each child's individuality, autonomy, and potential.
As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in this mission. Your efforts will assist children in developing communication, independence, and self-confidence, all while receiving unwavering support from a team that prioritizes your growth as much as theirs.
Daily Responsibilities:
As a Behavior Technician, your role is dynamic, hands-on, and profoundly impactful. You will spend the majority of your time working one-on-one with children (ages 2–12), helping them develop essential skills for their personal growth at home, school, and throughout daily life.
Your daily activities may include:
- Engaging in floor play to enhance language and social skills
- Guiding a child in learning to request assistance, tie their shoes, or transition between activities
- Handling challenging situations such as meltdowns or elopement with patience and composure
- Monitoring progress and documenting session notes for your BCBA to refine therapy plans
- Collaborating with your team throughout the day to troubleshoot, celebrate achievements, and modify support as necessary
- Adapting to the unique needs of each child, as no two days are alike
This role is not suited for a desk; it requires a hands-on, present approach. However, if you have a passion for working with children, you'll find it immensely rewarding.
Why Choose Gracent Pediatric Therapy:
We are not your conventional ABA clinic—and we take pride in that. At Gracent, we prioritize:
- Assent-based care that respects boundaries and empowers the child's voice.
- Collaborative, interdisciplinary teamwork—you will work alongside occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and mental health professionals.
- Supportive leadership and mentorship, offering real-time coaching and constructive feedback.
- A people-first culture that fosters structured growth, celebrates successes, and ensures you never feel isolated.
Opportunities for Growth:
Whether you aim to learn or build a career, we ensure your development is intentional and well-supported. You will commence with paid RBT training and certification within your first month (plus a pay raise upon completion) and receive regular performance reviews and salary increases based on performance.
