As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction of our organization. Your primary responsibility will involve the development and supervision of standards, policies, and procedures that facilitate efficient internal support for our business operations.
In this key position, you will oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, procurement, and reporting to the administration, board, and community stakeholders. You will ensure the financial security of the organization by maximizing incoming revenues and managing expenditures effectively.
As the principal advisor to the administration regarding business services and financial matters, you will lead and direct the business management division, encompassing budget, finance, information technology, and purchasing departments. Your leadership will also extend to establishing organizational-wide technological standards and procedures.
You will monitor and evaluate information systems based on performance measurements, develop strategic plans for financial and business services, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in business and finance.
Continuous professional development will be essential, and you will be responsible for acquiring and implementing state-of-the-art methods in business and financial administration. Your role will include ensuring effective internal controls to safeguard the organization’s financial assets and compliance with regulatory laws.
You will coordinate with independent auditors to resolve audit issues and ensure the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Additionally, you will provide accurate costing for contract negotiations and maintain a positive atmosphere that encourages open communication between employees and departmental leaders.
Your leadership will be instrumental in developing realistic plans that integrate business and financial resources while ensuring the organization’s emergency preparedness for finance-related functions. You will also engage with legislative and governmental agencies, providing strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance.
