As a Chief Accountant, you will lead the accounting department, ensuring precise financial reporting, adherence to regulations, and effective financial management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight: Supervise all accounting operations, including managing payments and receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
Compliance and Controls: Guarantee compliance with local regulations across Lebanon, KSA, UAE, France, and other jurisdictions as necessary. Follow compliance procedures and implement internal controls to protect company assets. Conduct reconciliations and reviews to verify account accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Execute monthly and year-end closings by recording necessary adjustments, accruals, and provisions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, Lebanese, and French regulations.
Audit Coordination: Oversee the annual and periodic audit processes, collaborating with external auditors and addressing any findings to ensure accurate regulatory reporting.
Tax Management: Manage tax planning and compliance activities, preparing tax returns and ensuring timely payments in relevant jurisdictions. This includes preparing VAT payment schedules for KSA, UAE, and France, as well as income tax schedules for the same regions.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for revenues and expenses, offering financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Team Player: Lead and mentor junior accountants by providing guidance on provisions, accruals, adjustments, and various accounting tasks. Report directly to the financial controller on all finance and accounting operations.
