Join Our Team as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Location: Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year
Position Overview
As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), you will play a pivotal role in the rehabilitation process, serving as a vital link between patient care and established treatment plans. You will actively lead therapy sessions designed to enhance functional skills, guide patients through practical routines, and meticulously document progress to facilitate ongoing treatment adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment sessions in alignment with established care plans.
- Facilitate functional activities aimed at improving activities of daily living (ADLs), cognitive skills, and upper extremity function.
- Provide necessary cues, corrections, and modifications to promote safe patient participation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient outcomes and objective measures following each session.
- Collaborate closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist to ensure continuity of care and progress tracking.
- Educate patients on strategies to carry over therapy techniques into their home routines.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
- Valid Pennsylvania COTA license in good standing.
- Current NBCOT certification.
- Ability to manage a full caseload effectively within designated hours.
- Prior experience is preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
