Job Purpose:
As a Certification Engineer at Rotork, you will spearhead our certification strategy, ensuring adherence to best practices while influencing a diverse group of stakeholders. Your leadership will be instrumental in overseeing both internal and external certification activities across the Americas region. Collaborating with a high-performing team, you will support engineering design, development, and sustainment initiatives.
Your role encompasses all facets of product lifecycle management concerning certification, including:
- Submitting and overseeing certification requests for both new and existing products.
- Creating innovative certification processes and procedures.
- Providing guidance to engineering and cross-functional teams on certification strategies and best practices.
- Leading teams through complex certification challenges.
- Engaging with key project stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Driving continuous improvement in certification processes utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure all certification requirements throughout a product's lifecycle, from research and conceptualization to end-of-life.
- Manage product certifications across targeted countries, regions, and manufacturing sites.
- Lead certification initiatives, contributing to project planning with a focus on timely execution.
- Conduct certification reviews to validate that Rotork designs comply with specifications and standards.
- Prepare cost estimates for certifications, contributing to engineering budget assessments.
- Deliver analyses and insights to stakeholders, including technical leads and senior leaders.
- Collaborate with program managers, project leads, and third-party certification bodies on certification activities.
- Ensure compliance of functional and non-functional test specifications.
- Document and prepare certification records and reports to demonstrate compliance with applicable specifications and standards.
- Support design efforts to meet internationally recognized standards.
