Veridian Management Solutions LLC is on the lookout for an accomplished Carpenter Foreman to lead and supervise carpentry operations on various construction sites. The successful candidate will possess extensive carpentry expertise, demonstrate effective leadership skills, and show an aptitude for team management. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the specified quality standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials for framing, cabinetry, and other carpentry-related tasks.
- Install doors, windows, drywall, flooring, and other structural elements.
- Safely operate power tools and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout all carpentry work.
- Manage project timelines and carpentry task schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Inspect materials and tools to ensure readiness and condition.
- Proactively identify and address construction challenges, escalating significant issues to the project manager.
- Maintain precise records of labor hours, material usage, and project milestones.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure team adherence to OSHA standards and company policies.
- Conduct safety meetings and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with job site regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrable experience as a Carpenter Foreman or in a Lead Carpenter role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in utilizing hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- In-depth understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication and organizational abilities.
- Physical capacity to lift heavy materials and work in diverse weather conditions.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in carpentry (Preferred).
- A minimum of 5+ years in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- OSHA certification is advantageous.
Work Conditions
This role involves working on construction sites under varying weather conditions, requiring physical labor including standing, bending, lifting, and working from heights. Availability for overtime, weekend work, and travel may be necessary based on project demands.
