Core Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and evaluations, accurately diagnosing and treating patients, providing follow-up care and health education tailored to the patient’s age and specific circumstances.
- Gather detailed patient histories and develop comprehensive patient care plans, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Order, obtain, and interpret essential diagnostic tests.
- Craft, prescribe, and document effective treatment plans based on a detailed analysis of patient history and diagnostic outcomes.
- Communicate care plans effectively with collaborating physicians, primary care providers, nursing staff, and case managers.
- Engage in open communication with patients and their families, providing necessary education regarding care plans, disease processes, new treatments, and medication regimens.
- Deliver medical care for patients experiencing illness or injury in accordance with accepted standards of care.
- Facilitate health education initiatives for patients and their families.
- Accurately document medical findings and care provided in the patient’s clinical records, including laboratory and radiographic results.
- Educate patients on health maintenance procedures and provide relevant resources as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to address patients’ health needs and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans.
- Initiate communication with other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Uphold the privacy and security of all confidential health information, disclosing only the information necessary for job functions.
