Join O-I as a Business Sales Manager, where you will take charge of strategic account management and business acquisition across defined product categories. You will be instrumental in crafting and implementing effective short and mid-term strategies to achieve our business objectives, ensuring that we meet sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This role will involve collaborating with various internal teams and maintaining key relationships with global account leaders.
Territory: California (Candidates must reside in Northern California)
As the Business Sales Manager, you will:
- Engage regularly with customers and prospects to enhance and manage assigned sales categories.
- Evaluate and confirm sales forecasts provided by clients.
- Assess existing accounts to identify margin enhancements and volume growth opportunities.
- Create strategic proposals to boost inventory turnover.
- Identify opportunities to transition other packaging materials to glass.
- Process customer purchase orders efficiently.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts, including adjustments for company and industry pricing changes.
- Utilize sales history, pending orders, and customer feedback to formulate accurate sales forecasts.
- Share important customer insights across departments including Marketing, Supply Chain, Credit, and Sales Service.
- Manage complex customer relationships effectively.

The ideal Business Sales Manager will possess:
- The ability to adapt leads as necessary, initiating the commercial proposal process and supporting negotiations.
- Strong competitive analysis skills to provide valuable insights to the company.
- A history of achieving sales targets related to EBIT, Revenue, and Physical Volume as aligned with the company budget.
- Extensive experience in analyzing and validating sales forecasts.
- The capability to develop strategic plans for comprehensive penetration into mid-level accounts within the designated territory.
- Experience in generating, developing, and closing sales opportunities, particularly with a focus on profitable mid-level accounts.
- Proficiency in creating presentations to address and resolve customer concerns.
