Join our dynamic team as a Building Code Consultant, where you will engage with relevant building codes and standards within the design and construction sectors. As a vital member of the Building Code & Life Safety Services group, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to analyze and interpret codes, enabling effective plan reviews, inspections, and comprehensive code consultations.
Your role will involve independent code reviews, participation in internal review meetings, and engaging with clients and jurisdictional representatives. While direct client interaction and business development activities are beneficial, they are not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed code reviews and inspections.
Prepare thorough written reports.
Provide expert code opinions drawing on your expertise and available resources.
Facilitate open communication with clients and applicants to resolve code comments.
Assist in preparing proposals and contributing to business development efforts.
Develop and present presentations on code-related topics.
Oversee reviews and ensure quality control on deliverables.
