As a Bilingual Head Start Teacher, you will plan, implement, and oversee classroom activities for both typically developing children and those with disabilities. You will collaborate with an integrated team to ensure the success of our educational program.
- Collaborate with management and specialists to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Head Start Program Performance Standards and Texas Education Agency guidelines.
- Create an engaging and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that fosters learning and curiosity.
- Implement a prescribed educational curriculum through diverse learning experiences that promote children's intellectual, social, and physical growth.
- Develop lesson plans and daily routines tailored to individual children's needs by observing and documenting their interests and developmental stages.
- Utilize various instructional techniques and media based on authentic assessments that cater to the needs and capabilities of different student groups.
- Screen, observe, and document children’s progress through the program's assessment system.
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their children's academic and developmental progress and keep thorough documentation of these interactions.
- Plan and oversee activities for Teaching Assistants and volunteers.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities, including maintaining accurate records, regular attendance, and timely report submissions.
- Perform other duties as required.
