As a Benefits Administrator at tgs, you will play a vital role in managing and enhancing our company's benefit programs. This position requires a keen understanding of employee needs and the ability to navigate various regulations, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and applicable state and local laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain an array of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, dental, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and 401(k) plans, while addressing employee inquiries regarding these benefits.
Serve as the primary liaison with benefit vendors, providing guidance to employees on eligibility and coverage details.
Ensure accurate maintenance of employee eligibility records and benefit deductions within Workday.
Conduct monthly audits of benefits billing against payroll deductions and prepare payments accordingly.
Organize and facilitate benefits orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring they understand their options.
Assist during the annual open enrollment period, providing support to employees as they select their benefits.
Communicate with employees regarding their leave requests and modified work schedules, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
Develop and implement clear communication materials regarding FMLA rights and processes.
Manage the FMLA leave process from the initial request through to the employee's return, ensuring effective communication during their absence.
Advise management and staff on the interaction between leave laws and company policies, including paid time off and disability benefits.
Oversee the reintegration process for employees returning from extended leaves, ensuring a smooth transition back to work.
Facilitate accommodation requests under the ADA as necessary.
Administer additional time-off programs in line with company policy and legal requirements.
Maintain a tracker for FMLA hours to keep employees informed about their leave status.
Recommend updates to company leave policies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Keep detailed records of leave and accommodation requests in compliance with legal standards and best practices.
Stay informed about changes in leave and accommodation laws, ensuring company practices remain current.
