We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and driven individual to join our team as an Application Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Azure. In this role, you will assist the application infrastructure architect in the development, design, deployment, and maintenance of application and infrastructure supporting MPA systems. This includes managing critical systems such as the Messaging Streaming system across both Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) and on-premise environments.
The perfect candidate will be adept at identifying optimal cloud solutions for MPA and ensuring cloud infrastructures adhere to best practices and governmental security policies. You should possess hands-on experience with public cloud services and excel in troubleshooting. Collaborating with various IT professionals and teams is crucial to ensure that the hybrid cloud infrastructure aligns with the applications and customers' needs.
Furthermore, you should have a strong grasp of event-driven architecture and integration with diverse applications and systems. Collaborating with application teams to design, develop, and integrate event-driven applications will be a key aspect of your role. An enthusiasm for technology, a willingness to adapt to change, and a desire to explore automation opportunities are essential traits. Effective communication skills are necessary to engage with all levels of employees and external partners/contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure components including virtual machines, storage, load balancers, firewalls, and network virtual appliances. Ensure seamless integration of cloud-based systems with on-premise environments.
- Design and maintain the Event-Driven messaging infrastructure while providing technical guidance on application integration and ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Establish and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure with service mesh capabilities. Automate maintenance and application deployment processes within Kubernetes clusters.
- Regularly assess and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Conduct reviews of existing systems and provide recommendations for enhancements.
