The Aviation Engineering Technical Practice Leader for the Americas will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of aviation engineering practices across the region. Reporting directly to the Americas Aviation Lead, this leader will enhance delivery quality, bolster technical capabilities, and leverage resources across various business lines. While the primary location for this role is Orlando, there is flexibility for remote/virtual work with occasional travel as required.
Core Responsibilities
Practice Growth and Sales
In this role, you will significantly contribute to the strategic growth of AECOM's aviation services by collaborating with Regional Aviation Market Sector Leads and the Global Aviation team. You will work closely with business line leaders to ensure strategic business expansion and support aviation capture managers in securing and delivering significant engineering projects.
Your ability to build strong relationships with clients, teaming partners, and industry stakeholders will be crucial, serving as a representative and ambassador for AECOM within the aviation sector.
Utilizing your technical expertise, you will participate in developing capture plans that align with the business development strategy and existing technical capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Engaging in national collaboration across Aviation Planning, B+P, Construction Management, and related fields for civil engineering services.
- Formulating and implementing national strategies for aviation civil engineering projects in alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
- Building and structuring technical delivery teams with the necessary skills for effective project execution.
- Identifying and recruiting key industry talent in accordance with market strategies.
- Expanding upon existing strategies to promote growth within the Americas aviation market.
- Advising leadership on resource capabilities that facilitate market expansion and enhance geographic reach.
- Identifying resource gaps that may hinder growth.
